Aberdeen & District Organists' Association

Stonehaven, Fetteresso Parish Church

Fetteresso Parish Church seeks to appoint an Organist and Choirmaster and invites applications.

Fetteresso is a church with a strong tradition of music at the heart of its worship.  The normal pre-COVID Sunday morning congregation (150 plus) sings with great enthusiasm, lead primarily by its organist and 4-part choir, its various instrumentalists and vocalists, and praise band.  With the imminent retirement after 45 years of our current organist and choirmaster, we are seeking to appoint a friendly and enthusiastic musician to play the organ, piano and keyboard at our Sunday morning service and lead our multi-voice choir.  When available, the organist would also play at weddings, funerals and additional services.  The 2 manual (plus pedalboard) organ is a Willis (1875) and is well maintained.

The person appointed will be responsible for continuing the musical tradition at Fetteresso Church, which may include bringing together other musicians, instrumentalists and soloists.  The Job Description and other details may be viewed by clicking here and application details may be viewed by clicking here.

Closing date for applications Friday 14th August 2020.
